Five years ago this month, Emmanuel House International became a reality. Over the years, EHI has helped more than 400 families, given out over 250,000 diapers, handed out over 1,250 winter coats, and made sure over 250 families had emergency groceries. Rita O’Brien (Executive Director and a 2018 Putnam County Chamber of Commerce “Women in Leadership” Trailblazer Award Recipient) affirms EHI’s Mission: “As we celebrate our five-year anniversary, our mission continues to be helping our Family of Families thrive so they can get out of crisis and on their feet. We look forward to the next five years.”
EHI’s “Christmas in July” Through August! is in full swing.
EHI could not make this possible without your generous donations and financial support. Rita explains: “It’s that time of year again when our Moms and Moms-to-Be start looking for “Back to School” clothes and supplies in addition to the baby clothes and supplies that are so greatly needed throughout the year. All of your kind gifts given at Christmas are now a fond memory as the Babies and Children have outgrown everything as they have been known to do. You can make a difference in the lives of these Babies and Children by helping our Moms and Moms-to-Be get what they need to take care of their Little Ones.”
Your “Christmas in July” gifts (which can be dropped off at EHI’s office during the Open House or by appointment through the end of August) could include new clothes for school or daycare and backpacks filled with baby or school supplies.
