3 Ways You Can Make a Difference This Holiday Season
With the Holiday Season fast approaching, the temperature keeps shrinking but the needs of Moms and Moms-to-Be to care for their Little Ones keep growing. Here are three simple ways you can make a difference in a family’s life:
New Winter Clothes Drive
A new warm coat can make all the difference to a child in need. You can make a difference by donating new snow jackets, boots, hats and mittens in addition to winter clothes, shoes, sneakers, socks and pajamas so that the Moms and Moms-to-Be and their Babies and Families are clothed warmly and with dignity in the cold frigid temperatures. Drop off or mail new clothes donations by December 10th.
Winter Emergency Fund
Most of our Moms and Moms-to-Be have only part-time or temporary/seasonal work so winter only increases their nightmare, having to make hard decision between keeping the heat on and feeding their children. They have increased expenses for heat, winter clothes and winter sicknesses in addition to their regular monthly expenses (rent, food, doctor visit co-pays, transportation, etc.). Your contribution to the Winter Emergency Fund will help to ease their burden and help them keep their Babies, their Families and Themselves safe and healthy.
Christmas Wish Lists
Just like all parents, our Moms and Moms-to-Be want to give their Babies and Children a bit of joy during the holiday season and so ask for a special new toy and clothing gifts for their Babies and Children. You can make a difference in the quality of these Little Ones’ lives by adopting a Baby, Child or Family this Christmas and making their Christmas one to remember fondly instead of with tears. You can contact Rita for a Christmas Wish List of your choice and then drop off or mail the new Christmas gift donations before December 10th.
