Carmel Rotary Club and Carmel High School’s Rotary Interact Club are sponsoring their annual “Community Basketball Shoot-Out” on March 12th, 9am-12noon. The Shoot-Out offers groups and individuals a fun and engaging chance to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations, including Emmanuel House!

We at Emmanuel House invite you as an individual or as a group (family, friends, church or ministry) to add Shooters of all ages to our team to help us raise much needed funds by shooting baskets on our behalf. This is a great way for EHI to raise necessary funds while offering a fun way for kids, teens, families, and adults to get involved.

The Shoot-Out will be awarding prizes for twelve different age groups from toddlers to teens, as well as adults and seniors. Emmanuel House will also be supporting a friendly competition among individuals and groups shooting hoops on our behalf, complete with special prizes for the individual and group with the most pledges.

Each Shooter collects pledges (either flat donation or pledge per basket) on our behalf and then shoot baskets for two minutes in the gymnasium of Carmel High School. The Pledge Sheet and Information/Instructions Sheet are available at

All monies and checks (made out to “Carmel Rotary Club Foundation” with “Emmanuel House International” on the Memo Line) are to be mailed to the Carmel Rotary Club (Attn: Basketball Shoot-Out Chairman, PO Box 421, Carmel, NY 10512).

Prior to mailing received funds and sheets, we ask that all Shooters submit a copy of their pledge sheet(s), checks and monies to EHI to confirm their participation in the Shoot-Out and donations they received. This is the first year we are participating in this and we want to make sure that nothing falls between the cracks!

Your participation in the Shoot-Out will provide much need funds for resources (from emergency baby supplies to crisis support) for our Family of Families.
