September is Right Around the Corner and so is EHI’s Annual “Families Shine” 2-Mile Walk-a-Thon!

On Saturday, September 24th, take a walk through the beautiful Putman County Veterans Memorial Park solo or with a group, friends or family members and enjoy an early fall day while helping Families Shine!

How does your involvement allow Families to Shine? Each walker and pledge sponsor’s participation allows Emmanuel House International (EHI) to keep its doors open and provide free services and resources to hundreds of low-income Moms and Moms-to-Be so they can care for their Families.

EHI provides diapers, formula, clothing, and a lot of other items a Mom or Mom-to-Be needs to be able to provide for her Little Ones. EHI has handed out countless vouchers for food, baby supplies and gently-used baby equipment and furniture to EHI’s Family of Families. Led by founder Rita O’Brien, EHI has provided thousands of hours of support, hunting down resources and having emergency baby supplies at the ready while also being a welcoming listener to those in crisis.

But with all this good, EHI still fights to find the necessary funds to provide these crucial services. Presently, Emmanuel House International is in real danger of having to close its doors due to insufficient funds and so each and every dollar you raise during the walk-a-thon will have a huge impact in making a difference in the lives of EHI’s Family of Families.

On Saturday September 24th, EHI will host its 3rd Annual “Families Shine” Walk-a-Thon at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park from 12 noon to 4pm.

The Walk-a-Thon RSVP page includes instructions how to sign up a group and as a solo walker, information about prizes for greatest sums raised, the pledge sheet and info packet, and more. If you’d rather RSVP offline, have questions, or are interested in volunteer and sponsorship opportunities, please contact Rita at (914) 393-7208 or Rita@EmmanuelHouseInternational.org.

Take a walk through the park and help Families Shine!
